Bluebird Hair Boutique is owned by Kevin & Kate Barnes-Quinn

.

Kevin and Kate are Bedford-based business consultants, who share a passion for innovative local commerce, and have a wealth of experience setting up, funding and driving organisational growth across a range of industry sectors.

Kevin Barnes-Quinn

Better known for his background in strategic Program Management, Kevin also has a flair for cuisine and design, and an impressive range of practical skills, so the physical transformation of the new salon into a unique, usable and beautiful space has been very much his domain. Working in the City, Kevin also ensures every aspect of the Bluebird operation and customer engagement reflects the utmost level of service, for those that expect the very best.

Kate Barnes-Quinn

Kate is recognised as one of the UK’s foremost female Financial Directors and is responsible for Bluebird’s investment and financial management. In 2012 she won the national Young FD of the Year Award and she runs the consulting firm Barnes-Quinn Associates. A mum of three and a bilingual businesswoman with a busy schedule, Kate was keen to fund and nurture a niche in the Bedford market:

Kevin and I are passionate about Bedford business and we realised there was a real gap here. We could see the potential to meet the needs of those clients who could save the time and travel costs of traveling to London if we could create a comparable experience.

Like many of my friends and colleagues, I work hard and like to treat myself to the finest quality hair and beauty treatments. Having lived and worked in Paris and London, I saw an opportunity to offer the same boutique salon environment and premium service locally. So far, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and we have some exciting plans for the Bluebird brand.”
